Health: Hysterectomy Post-Op Week 3

Things are looking up in terms of returning to a “normal” way of life.

I’ve been to the doctor again for an ultrasound check. Unfortunately, this revealed there is still some inflammation and liquid in my large intestine from the operation, but she didn’t seem overly worried about it. So, I am on some more meds to help with that and will go for another check up at the end of the month. At the moment, I feel like I should be living in Rome with how many times we are going back and forth, but it’s all good.

In other good news, I am moving around more and starting to feel like myself again with motivation to work, write, and do household chores. It’s still important for me to remember not to overdo it, but I definitely feel less tired and less achy by the end of the day. So, by this time next week, I am hoping to report being basically as good as new. Of course, I still have a few more weeks before lifting heavy items is in the cards, but I have begun to do some light chair stretches to start getting the body and muscles back into shape.

The other plus is that I finally also have the mental space to think about other things in the front of my mind. So, later this week, I hope to have a post that is not health related. Stay tuned!
