Phew…
It’s been a busy week. My posting run has slowed down considerably…not sure if I will be able to keep up as regularly, but we shall see. Anyway, spent most of the week wondering what to prepare and catching up with people. Plus, getting used to the new campus has been tiring…. It takes 20…

New office
[simage=4227,200,n,center,][simage=4228,200,n,center,][simage=4229,200,n,center,] After getting over the excitement of finally feeling like a proper professor and getting my own brand-new office, I quickly wanted to make it my own. While walking down the hallway and looking in the other rooms, I noticed that everyone had the same layout and felt everything was rather “square”. [simage=4236,200,n,center,] So, I…

Back to the grind…
Took a bit of a computer break yesterday and am back to work today. The new campus is pretty impressive and I love that I have my own office. Tomorrow I will take pics… today I am wiped! I’m out of practice for a full day’s worth of this working thing… 😉

Greener grass…
As the day to return to work draws nearer, I find myself feeling a little depressed. It’s not that I oppose working, or even that the job itself is bad. I mean, really, how can I complain about having the holidays that I have?? So, I have been trying to sort out why I seem…

Getting back into it…

New documentary on young adoptees
Thanks again to 8Asians, this trailer for a documentary on young adopted girls – Somewhere Between – looks interesting. It is nice to see/hear the voices of young adoptees and those from other countries. What is striking is that the issues and thoughts are the same as those I am familiar with – a sign…

Header Make-over
If you actually read my blog and actually visit the actual URL site, then you can see I have changed the header of my page. The old one felt dark and with the black background made everything feel somber. It was probably how I felt at the time of starting the site, but it seemed…

My Adoption Journey – 1
I have decided to start a new series of posts related directly to my adoption experience. This is mostly because I have started to delve more and more into the world of adoptees who are starting to express themselves about this whole being adopted thing – especially Korean-American adoptees. I know that some are reading,…

Monolids
This is a bit random, but this article on 8Asians (again) reminded me about struggling with issues of make-up. I have long since given up on the idea of eye make-up and wear a minimal amount in general despite being told by a few older Asian ladies that I am beyond the age of needing…
